In Conjunction with Business Volunteers United Maryland The
Greater Baltimore Alumni Chapter will be volunteering their time to sort toys
and clothing for children in the
Salvation Army's "Angel Tree Program"
The Salvation Army's Angel Tree Program provides new
clothing and/or toys for children. A sponsoring company or corporation places a
Christmas tree in a secure, high-pedestrian traffic area or lobby. The tree is
decorated with numbered paper angel tags with the first name, age and gender of
a child who will receive the gift. Contributors remove one or more tags from
the tree and purchase appropriate gifts for the child or children described on
the tags. The toys are then delivered to the unit and later picked up by the
parent to distribute to the child/children on Christmas Day.
This
wonderful service opportunity will lighten the hearts and bring smiles to
hundreds of area children during the Christmas season. The men of Alpha Nu
Omega Inc look forward to Elf Night.
