SoulFEST: Merging our Community…Making a Difference
It is our great desire to mature in our organization by enlarging the scope of our initiatives. In the Spring of 2009, the Greater Baltimore Chapter will host one of the larger community initiatives in the Baltimore City Area. We have dedicated our time into planning SOUL FEST 2008, which is an outdoor festival that seeks to increase community unity through various activities.
It is our goal to provide the attendees with opportunities to network with public assistance vendors, as well as the private business vendors, and each other. The SOUL FEST is designed to entertain and meet the tangible needs of the community. Some of our intended activities for the day include, a school supply give away, booths containing information on energy assistance, public housing, daycare vouchers, and food assistance, a wide range of entertainment ranging from high school bands to African dancers, great food and so much more.
